They had recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Their two daughters - both accomplished and married with children of their own - threw them a beautifully extravagant anniversary party. Friends and family attended the bash, and the toasts were both complimentary and envious at the same time. Everyone asked Betty and John how they had managed to stay happily married for so long.
